It is with humility and enthusiasm that I seek another term as Circuit Judge. Six years ago, the people honored me by electing me as their Circuit Court Judge for the Civil Division of Jefferson County. I have worked diligently to keep our judicial system fair and impartial. I made it an ongoing priority to keep my docket current and bring the highest ethical standards to the bench.
However, my highest priority has been to treat every person who comes into my courtroom in an evenhanded manner and with the utmost dignity and respect. I have handled the cases before me in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama without regard to what may or may not meet with public approval.
I am honored to wear the robe of Circuit Judge, conscious of the duties and responsibilities owed to the citizens of this county. As a judge, I know I command respect as long as I strive for impartiality, fairness and I conduct my court with integrity and respect for all. I am mindful that the only real source of power that I have is the respect of the people.
I sincerely appreciate all of the support given to me by the citizens of Jefferson County in 2004. I look forward to your continued support as I seek re-election in November 2010.
